Umm...

I have never had a blog before...but all the cool kids are doing it, so I thought I'd give it a go...
I have an amazing family...with two little girls that melt my heart on a daily basis. The oldest (8) is my mellow one, who is developing my sense of "mellow sarcasm", and I am loving every minute of it!
My youngest (5) is a strawberry blonde with an angel face, and a devilish temper. She is definately her father.
My husband, to quote Jerry Maguire "completes me". He has his little quirks, but I guess that's what makes him him, and why I married him.
I'm a Registered Nurse in a Cardiovascular Surgical Unit/ ICU. I absolutely love critical care nursing, and couldn't imagine doing anything else right now (besides sleeping). Working 3rd shift, raising 2 kids, driving to and from soccer practices and games, and trying to maintan a household is a wee bit draining...but so far, I think that the ends are going to justify the means.
I have WAY too many hobbies. My biggest love right now seems to be knitting. With what little spare time I have, you will find me with a pair of knitting needles in my hands. I also love quilting, but it isn't quite as portable as knitting, and I'm always on the go. I have tried getting into crochet, but I just don't get the same fuzzy feeling I do when I'm holding those big shiny metal needles in my hands. Maybe it's the nurse in me that just loves needles.
I started knitting so that I could make the mittens that Kristen Stewart wears in Twilight (yes, I am one of those Twilight people). Here is the final result:
I have since made 2 other pairs for my Twilight friends. It's getting late where I am, so I'm not even going to delve into my love of the Twilight Saga...but I'm sure it will be making a feature presentation on here in the future.
My other love is running. I've done 2 marathons so far, and I'm dying to do another one. I have some "fine tuning" to do to myself to get back in shape for another marathon...but nothing beats the feeling of coming down that chute after running 26.2 miles and crossing the finish line.
Well, like I said, it is getting late, and I'm on call for the hospital, so I should probably get some sleep. My luck, the second I start dreaming about something good, the phone will ring and remind me that the mortgage needs to be paid. Oh well.
